Hello Neighbors,

 

I started to write this note as just a general update on some of our planned community activities.  However, after visiting my daughter in Lincoln, Ne and going house hunting with her, I want to start with a note of appreciation!!  While we were in Lincoln my daughter took us to an area of town where new homes were being built.  All of these homes were in the $350K to $450K price range and there were perhaps 150 homes already built in the sub-division.  As we drove thru the neighborhood, I was struck by the fact that every home had their garbage and recycle bin sitting outside their garage on the driveway.  I saw where one bin had been blown over and it's contents were blowing thru the neighborhood.  I asked the realtors about it when we arrived at the open house for the area.  She said it was common for folks in Lincoln to leave their garbage and recycle bins outside their garage.  

 

After seeing this, I just wanted to say "THANK YOU" to all the folks who follow our HOA guidelines and leave their garbage and recycle bins inside their garages!!  I appreciate each of you all the more for that small effort!!  I would not want our beautiful neighborhood to look as trashy as that simitar priced neighborhood in Nebraska!!

 

Anyway, on with the upcoming events!!

 

• Lisa Howard has worked with Brad Ireland to have his Crave Taco Truck at the Prairie Highlands Golf Course on the 1st Tuesday of the Month, from April to August.  That means Brad and his Taco's will be here on April 6th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

• Save the Date for the Prairie Highlands Garage Sale on June 4th and June 5th.  We will be coordinating with "The Green's" and Whitetail HOA's so that all 3 will have their annual garage sales on the same two days.  We will put an add in the KC Star a few weeks prior.  Hopefully this will get people out to our area of town.  At the close of the garage sale on June 5th, Brad and his Crave Taco Truck will park at "The Green's" pool area and we can practice our social distance skills with members of all three HOA's as we enjoy the Taco's!!  The Crave Taco Truck will be there from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  

• As of now, we are planning to open the Prairie Highlands Pool on Memorial Day.  We are waiting for updates from the state of Kansas on any regulations they will require us to put in place.  As of now, all we know is that things are expected to change as we get closer to higher numbers of vaccinated people.
