Posted on Jun 18th, 2013

Prairie Highlands Is Celebrating Independence Day
Honor Independence Day with family and neighbors

The 2013 Prairie Highlands Annual 4th of July celebration of Independence will take place on Thursday, July 4th at 10 a.m.   Children, adults, and family members are invited to participate in the parade.  Children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, scooters, tricycles, wagons, foot power, etc. in patriotic red, white and blue.  Wear patriotic clothing and bring any musical instruments like kazoos, tambourines and drums.  Parents are also invited to decorate wagons and carriages to pull or push in the parade.  No motorized rides allowed.

Please be at the pool parking lot for parade lineup  at 9:30 - 9:45 a.m..
After the parade, all are invited for refreshments served near the pool.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!
We need older children to lead the parade and carry the banner.  Can your children help? We need 6 volunteers to guard intersections while parade is crossing intersections. Can you help?  If so, please contact Clare Fanelli.

The parade will be in a circular route so everyone ends up back at the pool. Our parade route will be in the Estates beginning at the pool walking along Roxburghe, crossing St. Andrews to Glen Eyrie, Glen Eyrie south to crossing St. Andrews to pool.   Bring your lawn chairs and join us for our parade even if your home is not on the parade route.

All neighbors are invited for Refreshments after the parade

It’s independence Day!  Prairie Highlands Neighbors are invited to decorate their homes with flags and cheer the parade on.

You can also celebrate Independence Day by decorating your home with festive red, white and blue decorations.  It’s not a parade without spectators so if you’re not in the parade come on out and cheer the kids on. Join us for refreshments too!
